Written by Scott Cairns,

The following information is aimed at those wanting to create audio for computer games and who may have little or no experience. This of course includes composers, sound-designers and voice actors. I guess some of the information could apply to other disciplines in game development too. Forgive me if some of the information is pretty basic or obvious, I've tried to keep it simple and to include a few things that I felt were important. You may not agree and thats fine too.

Just to be clear, when I use the term "audio guy" Im referring to both males and females in any of the roles mentioned above. Im not trying to be sexist, I just tend to use a lot of slang. (and Im probably lazy too)

Click the Read More tab to read the rest of the article.
Start Small

I cant stress this enough. Even though it might not be that exciting to work on "Bills Circus Animals for PC", its still a paying gig and a credit in the industry. Also, it will teach you to create audio to a brief (whats a brief?) and to a deadline. Im constantly surprised how many audio guys approach companies like Ubisoft and EA Games with the belief they'll land a gig right off the bat. Perhaps some do, and I wish them all the best, but the odds are against you. You really need to work your way up and create a solid credit-list over time. This also demonstrates to future clients that you can get the job done. Which brings me to my next point...

Be Reliable

I know it sounds bleedin obvious, but gee have I worked with some nutters! Ive heard every excuse in the book too from sub-contractors. ALWAYS LOOK AFTER YOUR CLIENT. I cant stress this enough. Im not talking about sucking up to them, Im talking about customer service. If you're doing a job for a client (Im thinking more as an outside contractor) keep in regular touch with them. Email them everyday if you have to and report your progress. Something simple like; "Hi Mike, hope you had a nice weekend, just wanted to let you know that the sound effects are coming along nicely and Ill have them to you no later than Wednesday. Please let me know if you need anything else." - will appease Mike's frazzled nerves and let him concentrate on the other 1,000 items on his producer plate.

Visit conferences/trade shows/seminars etc

Again this seems obvious, but Im surprised how many guys wanting a start have never even been to GDC (GD what?) or any other computer-games related conference, seminar or trade show. A quick story... I once went to a one day talk on making music for computer games, it cost me $50. The information was pretty basic (Id already scored 2 or 3 games by then) but I hung around. Whilst there, I met an audio director and inhouse sound-designer (more about inhouse guys later) and to cut a long story short, I ended up finding out about, pitching for and ultimately landing my first major, multi-platform title. So, go to everyone of these things that you can. Also, take the time to meet other more established audio guys there. My first two gigs came from other audio guys who were too busy. I still get work like this occassionally, and believe it or not, the guys right at the top are farming work out too.

Get a Showreel

Showreels are a big topic. Ill try and keep it simple and short; if submitting music, try to focus on the one or two styles that you do best. Its no good trying to cover every style in the hope of landing more gigs. I dont really know of an established composer that can do everything. So, try to wow your client with what your really good at. Make sure you include your contact details on the CD ltself, in case the cover gets seperated.
If sending music, send links to your music in the email, not giant attachments. And try to be pragmatic, some peoples music will suit a particular game better than yours. Sometimes the reverse will be true. Try to think of landing a composing gig like an actor auditioning for a role. Obviously Daniel Radcliffe wont be too convincing playing the President of America. :-) Try to find out as much as you can about the game and assess honestly as you can whether you'll be able to do it. I've turned down gigs I knew weren't in my style but Ive also mentioned what I feel I am good at - just in case the client has something else on the burner.

If sending a sound-design showreel its usually more effective to couple your sounds to some ingame footage or to a trailer. It might be worth including a disclaimer that the footage used (if nots yours to begin with) is being used for self-promotion only. If in doubt, you might want to check if the client minds you using something of theirs first. If you do want to capture ingame footage and replace it with your own sound, I recommend Fraps; www.fraps.com

Research your Client

Again fairly obvious, but its no good sending jazz music demos to a developer that only produces war strategy games. Ive included some useful websites at the end of this page, some of which, list the many game companies out there.

Do your own press

Im surprised how many people dont do this - promote yourself and/or your business. Learn to write a press-release. (there's plenty of advice if you google; "how to write a press release".) If you've just landed a gig, or have some news you'd like to share, put it "on the wires" - fax or email your press release to local newspapers, tv stations and game-industry websites. It helps to keep your name in the public's perception, it also raises your profile in the industry too.

It may seem strange to do your own promotion at first, but often, journalists are looking for a story and eyeing their deadline. You may have just made their day by sending a press release. Try to have a hook; "Local Composer works in the multi-billion computer games industry - and he does it from home!" - has worked for me. :-)

I was once interviewed for a local paper, from there, it was seen by a major syndicated publication and they too approached me for a story. I ended up getting a two page spread. After that paper ran its story, I was then contacted by a tv station and did an interview for them. This all stemmed from one minor story in a paper I thought no one read. To date, Ive done radio interviews, TV, newspapers, magazines, websites and even appeared in a book. And no - its not an ego driven thing, I dont like hearing the sound of my voice. Its just great exposure for your career. (it helps to think of your work that way too - long term)

Think of yourself as a business

Developers are busy and often times think about the audio when the game is about to go gold (go what?) The last thing they want to do is deal with a bumbling muso who works from his lounge room. (you might work from there, and thats ok, just dont tell the client!)

Game company producers are often a frazzled lot - they're trying to keep all the aspects of the game from coding to design to your audio on budget and on schedule. Its enormously gratifying to them if you can present yourself as competent, courteous, professional and reliable. Believe me, if they think you've helped them out of a hole with your professionalism - and you've shown you can deliver top quality audio to a deadline - they'll hire you again.

By representing yourself as a business you can also do what every other business does - outsource. Perhaps you're busy already and a regular client needs some audio in a hurry? (which is not uncommon) If you've kept up contact with other audio professionals, you should know who is skilled in various styles of music and sound-design. Hire them as a sub-contractor and quality-check everything before it goes back to the client. (remember the client is technically hiring you or your company.)

Another advantage to outsourcing is utilising a skill that you dont have. Perhaps one of your clients is doing a Nintendo title? You might need a composer who is experienced in tracker formats. (Nintendo devices generally have very specific audio requirements.) If your client is planning to continue doing work for the Nintendo platform, it might be worth learning how to develop for it yourself.

Broaden your job description

There's nothing wrong with wanting to be a successful composer, but it can take years to get enough recognition and regular work to support yourself full-time as one. Some other avenues to consider are recording and overseeing voice over sessions and sound-design. Many composers have started this way and it beats waiting tables for a living. Besides, not only does sound-design hone your skills in audio (helping you to be a better composer) but as an audio professional, chances are you have the equipment and knowledge to create sound effects anyway. There are generally more sound-design positions available than composition ones too. (Sad but true.)

Inhouse Positions

If you can get a job inhouse as a composer or sound-designer Id probably recommend it. Not only will you learn the vagaries of game development first-hand, it will also stand you in good stead for other audio positions at other studios. Some potential drawbacks can be the regular "office hours" and the fact that you have to work on whatever your company is currently developing. The truth is, most contractors work long hours and dont often get the luxury to pick and choose their gigs anyway. A further point about inhouse - get friendly with the guys doing audio in these companies. They'll be able to tell you if their company is hiring, and if the audio department is busy and needs to outsource some of their work.

Glossary

Audio Brief - is generally the document sent to you that will desribe the desired list of sound effects, how many minutes of music, and the intention needed for the music. In short, the Audio Brief is the creative vision of how the audio should sound in the game. Its really important to read and understand the brief thoroughly. Its no good skimming through it and seeing word like; "egyptian ruins" and running off and writing an arabic style battle theme. Reading it thoroughly might also show that the player is exploring egyptian-style ruins and that the environment is generally eerie. This of course will dictate a different style of music altogether.

Game Design Document - is like the bible of the game. It should describe every level and every detail of the game (environment, physics, gameplay, styles, similar game references, etc) in great detail. The Audio Brief is generated from the G.D.D. Note, sometimes you might be called upon to create an audio brief of your own, particularly for a smaller client. They may have described an environment, but not given thought to exactly what sounds are needed in it. You might have to derive your own sfx list from the G.D.D. You may also need to be the one to suggest an appropiate style of music for a game too. (Its happened to me!)

GDC - stands for the Game Developers Conference. (www.gdconf.com) Arguably the largest computer games show on earth, it takes place in San Francisco around March each year. Be sure to come up and say hi if you see a guy with my name tag on. (Im pretty friendly if Ive had my morning coffee)

Going Gold - is the phase in development when the game gets burned onto a gold master disc. This is then used for pressing copies of the game.

This is an excerpt from Allhiphop.com's Rumor section. It talks about the Field Mob project we have been working on. New studio footage of some of the sessions coming soon!!

Field Mob’s manager hit me up and gave me the scoop on what they are all working on! Here you go:

I wanted to confirm and clarify that rumor about The Field Mob album. Actually Smoke from Field Mob is working on a solo project. He has a solo deal with Sony through an independent named Empire Records out of AZ (DTP is still involved in the project). The album is shaping up to be CRAZY... Ken Jo is definitely the driving force musically behind the project with assistance from Jack Brown, and a possible single produced by Kanai Finch... As for Field Mob they are working on putting together a new project, also most of those tracks being done by Ken Jo, however, the solo project from Smoke seems to be coming first.

Shakir Stewart
By D.J. Ty
The only executive to successfully make the transition from music publisher to becoming one of the most gifted and highly valued Senior Vice President, A&R's in the music industry.

Click the Read more tab for the rest of the Post.

Shakir Stewart was born in Oakland, California and realized very early that the music "business" was his destiny. In 1989, Shakir worked the neighborhood music scene as a club promoter. Recognizing that his flair for marketing and promoting had limitless potential, Shakir enrolled in Morehouse College, in Atlanta, Georgia and in 1996, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing.

During his years at Morehouse, Shakir became known in the then, budding, "dirty south", as a concert promoter; promoting for top notch talents like Luke, Scarface, Nas, Too Short to name a few. Immediately after graduating, he incorporated the art of negotiating into his marketing & promotions arsenal, partnered with a few acquaintances and started a promotions company. The company's success led to the opening of a just as successful recording studio, Noontime Music. It wasn't long before Shakir Stewart found himself forming a joint venture with Epic records.

His accomplishments at such an early age caught the attention of Hitco Music Publishing, signing Shakir as their Creative Director. It was during his time at Hitco, that Shakir's A&R talents were unearthed, as then President of Arista and Hitco's owner, Antonio "L.A." Reid offered him an A&R consultant position with LaFace Records, of which he was the CEO.

After a triumphant run at Hitco, Shakir resigned and was hired as Vice President of A&R at Island Def Jam Music Group. And in October 2006, after only eighteen months onboard, Shakir Stewart was promoted to Senior Vice President, A&R, Island Def Jam Music Group, by Chairman, Island Def Jam Music Group, Antonio "L.A." Reid, and President of Island Def Jam, Shawn Carter, B.K.A, Jay-Z.

To his credit, Mr. Stewart is responsible for signing such talent as R&B sensation Ciara, rap stars Rick Ross and Young Jeezy, publishing the successive no# 1 hits in Billboard's Hot 100 Chart as Destiny Child's "Survivor", Outkast's "The Way You Move", both Beyonce's "Crazy in Love", and "Baby Boy" and assembling and organizing Usher's massive hit "Yeah" on the twelve time platinum album Confessions.

Murder Music | Danja

Oct 1, 2008 12:00 PM, By Anthony Roberts

Isn't it funny how two totally different lines of work can sometimes resemble one another? Case in point: Nate Hills is a rather reserved guy. He's never been contracted by the mob to take care of any, ahem, problems. He doesn't carry high-powered firearms with silencers and infrared beams, nor does he lay in wait to finish off unsuspecting targets. However, he is paid top dollar to kill — tracks, that is. He's been responsible for mega-smashes by some of both hip-hop and pop's über-elite, including Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado, T.I., Madonna and many more in a list that is too insanely long to name in its entirety. Artists seek him out when they want to make their mark on the charts, and he has never failed to produce results. So while not exactly in the same vein as a cold-blooded hired gun, you can still confidently call the human phenomenon known as Danja a hit man.

With such a diverse list of clientele all clamoring for the privilege of being laced with one of Danja's sure-shot sonic creations, it wouldn't be altogether impossible to believe that by now he's bought into his own hype. Think again. The humble 26-year-old is just as meticulous when crafting his productions as ever, maybe even more so now. Half-assed efforts just to get a check are blasphemous. But just as it is for a contracted killer, the money doesn't make it an easier job. It takes a certain kind of mind to do what Danja, who many call the future of music, does.

“People might think I'm loony or crazy or something when I tell you this, but sometimes I just look into a blank space and wait until an image comes,” he says. “I see music in shapes, sometimes in color,” he explains. “I see the sound. It's like a spectrum of things I see depending on the mood of the track. I hear it differently, too. I'll be hitting the keys or the drums and just see things. I like to take the weirdest, ugliest sounds and make them pretty or the prettiest sounds and do something hard with it. I do things backwards, but seeing the music is definitely real for me.”
FATHER OF REINVENTION

This synesthesia, if you will, could very well be the reason why so many artists see something different in him. Among the laundry list of current and recent projects, Danja says that he's been enlisted for several high-profile albums and some placements, including the first single, “Work,” from Ciara's soon-to-be-released, multidisc effort, Fantasy Ride. Then there's a nice chunk of work on Britney Spears' as-yet-untitled album, which he says will be “way harder than Blackout.” And he's also the man behind the boards of T.I.'s single “No Matter What,” placements on Danity Kane's latest, Welcome to the Dollhouse, and Cassie's first single, “Official Girl,” off her upcoming sophomore release. Not bad for a few months out of 2008, right? But what is it about the methods of this madman that keeps artists, and fans, coming back? He reinvents himself with every track.

“Sometimes [artists] will come for a particular sound that I had on a previous track and want to duplicate that same energy. But instead, I try to do what they should be doing, not what I already did,” he explains of tailoring his sound for different acts. “I do what matches them, matches their voice, what type of fans they relate to. I never try to take you out of your zone; I craft around the artist.”

With that being said, a good craftsman always depends on his trusty tools. For Danja, those mainly consist of his iMac with Logic and his ever-present MPC4000. “The MPC is always going to be the brains of the operation. That's what makes the beats knock like they're supposed to.” But this bare-minimum setup hasn't always been his core setup. Having upgraded nearly everything from his software to his hardware, he recently did away with a grand production scheme that he had built, only to go back to the basics. It's further evidence of the reinvention process that is a constant for both the man himself and his sound.

“There was a point when I just kept buying keyboards, every time I saw one. I had 13 keyboards all around me at once and my laptop going into a 24-channel mixer, going into an MPC,” he says. “I had mad keys: I had a Virus TI, a Motif, a few different Rolands…one was a [V-Synth] GT and a Fantom. It was crazy.”

It is this devotion to constant change that has allowed the superproducer to stay fresh to the ears of those around him. Painstakingly ensuring that there are no carbon copies floating out of his studio, he challenges himself to expand his artistry past that of the common beatmaker. Admittedly not proficient at playing too many instruments, he says that it's not at all rare for him to pick up an instrument that he's never worked with and play around with it, leaving space for the unexpected to occur. But most of all, he insists, it is his love for constructing a complete song, not just the music, that sets him apart from many of his peers.

“A track should be ever-changing, keeping you interested the whole way through,” he reveals. “The key to my style is that I'm a musician, and everything comes from a songwriting standpoint. Sometimes I'll want to change it up and put a bridge in a new place. Sometimes I'll do an intro, then go to a crazy drop, then to a verse. Just having flat-out loops to a vocal — I don't do that. I make the tracks build so that when you get to the chorus, you can really feel the record.”
GOING TO THE MOVIES

“Sometimes I pack sounds on top of each other. I'm trying to infuse rock more into what I do now, as well. I love the sound of the guitar, so I like to have a little bit of an electric vibe going on. I'll have my guitar and my drum set miked up, going into a mixer, and just sample live licks. I still love the synths and doing things like that, but I'm a drummer, too, so I want the rhythm of the drums to really come out. This is Danja stepping into new territory.”

That new territory means a couple of things for Mr. Hills these days. An avid lover of what he calls “the big sound,” he's hoping to soon begin a full-fledged foray into the world of film scoring. Having had a hand in the score for the movie Step Up 2, a project that he says he could have been a lot more involved in if his schedule hadn't been so tight, he's ready to go to the next step of his career. And if his work as of now is any indication, he'll be making movie goers weep from the sounds strategically placed at that pivotal moment in their favorite chick flick in no time.

“I like that cinematic sound,” he says. “I got a couple of tracks on Britney's [upcoming album] that sound like action sequences from The Mummy 3 [Tomb of the Dragon Emperor] or something, just bits and pieces of horn hits that make it sound dramatic. Long before I even knew what I was doing, I would have women tell me, ‘This is sexy.’ I'm in tune with certain chords that make you feel a certain way. I know how to grab your emotions. I know what to play in whatever order to bring those feelings forth. This is a universal language. I'm learning how to capture those feelings and inject them into my music. I'm learning how to make you feel what I feel.”

In addition to possibly having Academy Awards in his future, new territory also finds Danja playing the role of talent finder, signing his first artist, KC, to his own Danjahandz Musik/Jive imprint. Not a rookie to the game, KC wrote the hooks to the Rick Ross/R. Kelly collaboration “Speedin,” the Kells and Young Jeezy anthem “Go Getter” and Ace Hood's recent hit “Cash Flow.” But with pen skills intact, it had to take more than just good penmanship for Danja, who's worked with some of the biggest superstars in the world, to ink the new jack.

“I wasn't looking for an artist; that wasn't on my radar at all. He came to write, and I knew instantly this kid was a star,” he says of his protégé. “What I'm doing with him is a complete example of what I'm moving towards as a musician. I really came into my own as a producer on his project. He can compete with the Ushers and Justins of the world, and I'm excited for the world to hear what we've put together.”

More renaissance man than contract killer, the resemblance in the precision found in both professions is still uncanny. It is the honed techniques, the unorthodox methods and the essential accuracy that fuels both. Focus is key. Adrenaline creeps its way into the two worlds, giving each a rush at that moment when all of their work comes full circle. It's no coincidence that the man's moniker is Danja. He too knows the link between the two chosen fields. But more than murdering music for the time being, he's hoping to leave an indelible mark on the game long after his last big score.

“I want people to see that I bridged the gap between a lot of different worlds but that we all march to the same beat. I'm trying to take it back to the days when you hear a song and it feels and sounds incredible. I want people to know that I didn't follow the rules. I want them to know me through my music.”

EAST FARMINGDALE, N.Y. - William "Wild Bill" Cutolo was a feared mobster who vanished nearly a decade ago during a bloody struggle for control of the Colombo crime family. It had been widely believed that after rival gangsters killed him, his body was dumped off the side of a boat in the Atlantic Ocean.

By FRANK ELTMAN, Associated Press Writer

As it turns out, Cutolo's body was buried in a wooded area of Long Island near a stretch of railroad tracks, manufacturing plants and warehouses. Authorities found his badly decomposed remains in the area Monday, reportedly acting on a tip from an informant who said three bodies may be buried there.

The search continued Wednesday as a team of about a dozen FBI and law enforcement officials was joined by two backhoes in East Farmingdale.

Attorneys for the two men convicted last year of orchestrating Cutolo's murder have told a federal judge they will seek a new trial now that his remains have been found. Cutolo, a reputed Colombo crime family underboss, was 49 when he vanished in 1999.

Prosecutors said reputed acting boss Alphonso "Allie Boy" Persico feared Cutolo was going to seize control of the crime family from him. John "Jackie" DeRoss was accused of being his accomplice.

Persico and DeRoss were convicted on charges of witness tampering and murder in the aid of racketeering and face life in prison, but their attorneys say the new revelations merit postponing the December sentencing until the latest investigation is closed. U.S. Attorney Benton Campbell confirmed the identity of Cutolo's remains in a letter to the sentencing judge.

"Clearly, this new evidence directly contradicts the theory on which the government proceeded at trial," attorneys Sarita Kedia and Robert LaRusso wrote to the judge in response to the discovery of Cutolo's remains.

Neither FBI spokesman Jim Margolin nor Robert Nardoza, a spokesman for the local U.S. attorney's office, would comment on any specific aspect of the investigation.

One of the victims suspected of being buried at the East Farmingdale site is former Pace University student Carmine Gargano Jr., 21, who was last seen in July 1994. Authorities were told he was killed in a revenge plot targeting his cousin, a reputed member of a rival crime family.

Authorities also reportedly believe reputed Colombo associate Richard Greaves may be buried at the site. He was killed in 1995 because bosses feared he might become an informant, authorities said.

Searches for the victims of mob violence are not unusual in the metropolitan New York area, where the FBI and police sometimes show up at vacant lots, garages, parking lots and homes.

In 2004, they searched a vacant lot in Queens, known locally as Mafiaville because it was apparently used as a dumping ground by the late Gambino mob boss John Gotti. Authorities recovered bones and personal items believed to be the remains of two Bonanno crime family captains.

The following year, a search of a Brooklyn lot uncovered the remains of a jeweler named Israel Greenwald. He was secretly shot dead inside a Brooklyn garage and buried on the spot by two detectives doubling as hit men for the mob.

I just found an article that really breaks down how the financial markets got into the situation they are in today. Click the read more link to check out the article.

Over the past week, the landscape of American Finance has been changed forever. We’ve all been reading about the impending recession and the failures of major financial institutions, but many of us here in the Hip-Hop nation still do not have a full understanding of how we got to this point.

With our Government finally reaching an agreement on a plan to use more than 700 Billion of our tax dollars to get Wall Street out of this mess, it’s important that the Hip-Hop Nation be ahead of the curve in understanding exactly what they’re doing with our money. Before we talk about getting out the current crisis we should be on the same page in understanding how we got here. Let’s go behind the numbers and discuss the financial principles that set the stage for all of this.

For decades, as Americans, we’ve been told that the key to building wealth and financial security is home ownership. Historically, purchasing a home provides better returns, over the long haul, than any other investment one can make – better than a 401k, better than any savings, better than any stock. Additionally, there’s the added security that in times of need, you can borrow against appreciation of the home’s value. After years of prosperity during the Clinton administration – from the late 1990’s through the early part of this decade, more Americans began getting their piece of the American Dream by purchasing homes. Cities like Atlanta, North Carolina and New York saw their property values double and sometimes triple in less than a decade. Banks and Mortgage companies all profited from lending money. Home values steadily increased and it was seemingly a win for everyone involved.

When you purchase a home, normally, you take out a long term loan with a bank or mortgage lender. That loan creates a steady source of income – through your monthly payments - for the lender. With so many houses being bought, the lenders began selling those loans - for cash to give out more loans - to Investment Banks.

For example, you get a 30 year Home Loan from HSBC. Bear Sterns, an Investment Bank, might go to HSBC, Washington Mutual, and Bank of America and purchase your loan, and loans just like it, at a discount. HSBC and the other banks get the cash, which they can use to give out more loans or invest in other markets.

Bear Sterns would then take all the loans they purchased and package them into what’s called a Collateralized Debt Obligation – or a CDO. What they are essentially doing is creating a single asset out of many loans just like yours. This is Securitization. Bear Sterns can then sell all of those loans, as one item, to another investment bank or Hedge Fund. Again, the seller gets the cash to do other stuff with, and the buyer gets your monthly payment – for 30 years.

The problem with securitization is that it eliminates responsibility. If I’m HSBC, and you come to me for a loan – and I know I’m going to sell your loan to an investment bank – I’m not going to take all the necessary steps to insure that you will be able to pay your loan. Good Credit, Bad Credit, No Credit? – No problem. None of that matters because HSBC is not going to be on the hook if you default on your loan.

And that’s exactly what happened. For the first time in years, home prices stopped rising and in some parts of the country, they actually began to fall. At the same time, people began to default on the loans they’d taken out. Some of these were no money down loans with adjustable interest rates that rose after the first couple of years (known as ARMS). Some of the loans were given with only stated, not verified sources of income. As these loans began to default, the value of the CDO’s discussed above began to decrease dramatically.

Remember the thousands of loans just like yours that Bear Sterns bought and packaged - imagine if 10% of the people who are paying those loans ended up going into foreclosure. That CDO loses millions of dollars in value. Investment Banks and Hedge funds were buying, literally billions of dollars of these types of investments, and often, they were borrowing money to do so.

When the number of people defaulting started to increase, and homeowners could no longer borrow against their equity, or sell their homes for a profit, those investments lost value and the billions of dollars in subsequent losses led to the disaster we’re in now.

.

When we look back on this year in history, 2008 is going to be the year that changed everything as we knew it. The 700 billion dollar payoff sounds to me like an effort of the gov to take control over the housing market. Maybe i'm wrong but something doesn't seem right. When we look at history and at the people who control the money, there is alot to be learned. Click the link to read more!!!!

Amsel (Amschel) Bauer Mayer Rothschild, 1838: "Give me
control of the economics of a country; and I care not who
makes her laws. The few who understand the system, will
either be so interested from its profits or so dependant on
its favors, that there will be no opposition from that
class". "Let me issue and control a Nation's money and I
care not who makes its laws".

Letter written from London by the Rothschilds to their New
York agents introducing their banking method into America:
"The few who can understand the system will be either so
interested in its profits, or so dependent on its favours,
that there will be no opposition from that class, while, on
the other hand, that great body of people, mentally
incapable of comprehending the tremendous advantage that
Capital derives from the system, will bear its burden
without complaint and, perhaps, without even suspecting
that the system is inimical to their interests."

Nathan Rothschild said to the Commons Secret Committee on
the question early in 1819: "In what line of business are
you? - Mostly in the foreign banking line. "Have the
goodness to state to the Committee in detail, what you
conceive would be the consequence of an obligation imposed
upon the Bank [of England, which he owned] to resume cash
payments at the expiration of a year from the present time?
- I do not think it can be done without very great distress
to this country; it would do a great deal of mischief;
we may not actually know ourselves what mischief it might
cause. "Have the goodness to explain the nature of the
mischief, and in what way it would be produced? - Money
will be so very scarce, every article in this country will
fall to such an enormous extent, that many persons will
be ruined."

The director of the Prussian Treasury wrote on a visit to
London that Nathan Rothschild had as early as 1817: "..,
incredible influence upon all financial affairs here in
London. It is widely stated.., that he entirely regulates
the rate of exchange in the City. His power as a banker is
enormous".

Austrian Prince Mettemich's secretary wrote of the
Rothschilds, as early as 1818, that: "... they are the
richest people in Europe."

Referring to James Rothschild, the poet Heinrich Heine
said: "Money is the god of our times, and Rothschild is his
prophet."

James Rothschild built his fabulous mansion, called
Ferrilres, 19 miles north-east of Paris. Wilhelm I, on
first seeing it, exclaimed: "Kings couldn't afford this. It
could only belong to a Rothschild!"

Author Frederic Morton wrote that the Rothschilds had:
"…conquered the World more thoroughly, more cunningly, and
much more lastingly than all the Caesars before..."

As Napoleon pointed out: "Terrorism, War & Bankruptcy are
caused by the privatization of money, issued as a debt and
compounded by interest "- he cancelled debt and interest in
France - hence the Battle of Waterloo.

Some writers have claimed that Nathan Rothschild "warned
that the United States would find itself involved in a most
disastrous war if the bank's charter were not renewed."
(do you see the similarities here? If you don't play the
game an economic disaster will fall on you and you will be
destroyed.)

"There is but one power in Europe and that is Rothschild."
19th century French commentator.

Lord Rothschild (Rockefellers and Rothschilds' relatives)
in his book The Shadow of a Great Man quotes a letter sent
from Davidson on June 24, 1814 to Nathan Rothschild, "As
long as a house is like yours, and as long as you work
together with your brothers, not a house in the world will
be able to compete with you, to cause you harm or to take
advantage of you, for together you can undertake and
perform more than any house in the world." The closeness of
the Rothschild brothers is seen in a letter from Soloman
(Salmon) Rothschild to his brother Nathan on Feb. 28, 1815,
"We are like the mechanism of a watch: each part is
essential." (2) This closeness is further seen in that of
the 18 marriages made by Mayer Amschel Rothschild's
grandchildren - 16 were contracted between first cousins.

"Centralisation of credit in the hands of the state, by
means of a national bank with state capital and an
exclusive monopoly." The Communist Manifesto. In the case
of the Bolshevik revolution, Rothschilds/ Rockefellers'
Chase Bank owned the state. In the US, the FED owners
"own" the state.

Rothschilds' favorite saying who along with the
Rockefellers are the major Illuminati Banking Dynasties:
"Who controls the issuance of money controls the
government!"

Nathan Rothschild said (1777-1836): "I care not what puppet
is placed on the throne of England to rule the Empire. The
man who controls Britain's money supply controls the
British Empire and I control the British money supply."

Rockefeller is reported to have said: "Competition is a
sin". "Own nothing. Control everything". Because he wants
to centralize control of everything and enslave us all,
i.e. the modern Nimrod or Pharaoh.

The Rothschild were behind the colonization and occupations
of India and the Rothschild owned British Petroleum was
granted unlimited rights to all offshore Indian oil, which
is still valid till this day.

"Give me the control of the credit of a nation, and I care
not who makes the laws." The famous boastful statement of
Nathaniel Meyer Rothschild, speaking to a group of
international bankers, 1912: "The few who could understand
the system (cheque, money, credits) will either be so
interested in its profits, or so dependent on its favours,
that there will be no opposition from that class, while on
the other hand, the great body of people, mentally
incapable of comprehending the tremendous advantage that
capital derives from the system, will bear its burdens
without complaint, and perhaps without even suspecting that
the system is inimical to their interests." The boastful
statement by Rothschild Bros. of London.

These people are the top masterminds and conspired for the
creation of illegal FEDERAL RESERVE BANK in 1913: Theodore
Roosevelt, Paul Warburg - Representative Of Rothschild,
Woodrow Wilson - U.S. President Signed FED Into Act, Nelson
W. Aldrich - Representative Of Rockefeller, Benjamin Strong
- Representative Of Rockefeller, Frank A. Vanderlip -
Representative Of Rockefeller, John D. Rockefeller -
Rockefeller Himself, Henry Davison - Representative Of J.
P. Morgan, Charles Norton - Representative Of J. P. Morgan.

In the last century, members of the British Fabian Society
dynastic banking families in the City of London financed
the Communist takeover of Russia. Trotsky in his biography
refers to some of the loans from these British financiers
going back as far as 1907. By 1917 the major subsidies and
funding for the Bolshevik Revolution were co-ordinated and
arranged by Sir George Buchanan and Lord Alfred Milner. [no
doubt using money from Cecil Rhodes' South African gold and
diamond legacy - Ed] The Communist system in Russia was a
"British experiment" designed ultimately to become the
Fabian Socialist model for the British takeover of the
World through the UN and EU. The British plan to takeover
the World and bring in a "New World Order" began with the
teachings of John Ruskin and Cecil Rhodes at Oxford
University. Rhodes in one of his wills in 1877 left his
vast fortune to Lord Nathan Rothschild as trustee to set up
the Rhodes Scholarship Program at Oxford to indoctrinate
promising young graduates for the purpose, and also
establish a secret society [Royal Institute of
International Affairs RIIA, which branched into the Round
Table, the Bilderbergers, the CFR, the Trilateral, etc --
Ed] for leading business and banking leaders around the
World who would work for the City to bring in their
Socialist World government.

Rothschild appointed Lord Alfred Milner to implement the
plan.

Benjamin Freedman (Friedman) said this in 1961, Washington
(he was a millionaire insider in international Zionist
organizations, friend to 4 US presidents, and was also part
of the 117-man strong Zionist delegation at the signing of
the Treaty of Versailles in 1919 where Germany was forced
into bankruptcy to the Zionist BankLords and social chaos):
"Two years into WW1, Germany, which was then winning the
war, offered Britain and France a negotiated peace deal,
but German Zionist groups seeing the opportunity made a
deal with Britain to get the United States into the war
if Britain promised to give the Zionists Palestine."

In other words, they made this deal: "We will get the
United States into this war as your ally. The price you
must pay us is Palestine after you have won the war and
defeated Germany, Austria-Hungary, and Turkey." They made
that promise, in October of 1916. And shortly after that --
I don't know how many here remember it -- the United
States, which was almost totally pro-German because the
newspapers and mass communications media here were
controlled by the Zionist bankers who owned the major
commercial banks and the 12 Federal Reserve Banks (the
original Stockholders of the
Federal Reserve Banks in 1913 were the Rockefeller' s, JP
Morgan, Rothschild's, Lazard Freres, Schoellkopf,
Kuhn-Loeb, Warburgs, Lehman Brothers and Goldman Sachs, all
with roots in Germany's Zionists like the British Royal
family, J.P. Morgan, Carnegie, Bush, Rumsfeld, Clintons,
the Nazis that were brought into the CIA, etc.
http://land.netonecom.net/tlp/ref/federal_reserve.shtml )
and they were pro-German because they wanted to use Germany
to destroy the Czar of Russia and let the Communists
whom they funded take over. The German Zionist bankers --
Rothschilds, Rockefeller, Kuhn Loeb and the other big
banking firms in the United States refused to finance
France or England to the extent of one dollar. They stood
aside and they said: "As long as France and England are
tied up with Russia, not one cent!" They poured money into
Germany, fighting with Germany against Russia, to lick the
Czarist regime. The newspapers had been all pro-German,
where they'd been telling the people of the difficulties
that Germany was having fighting Great Britain commercially
and in other respects, then after making the deal with the
British for Palestine, all of a sudden the Germans were no
good. They were villains. They were Huns. They were
shooting Red Cross nurses. They were cutting off babies'
hands. And they were no good. The Zionists in London sent
cables to the US, to Justice Brandeis: "Go to work on
President Wilson. We're getting from England what we want.
Now you go to work, and you go to work on President Wilson
and get the US into the war." And that did happen. Shortly
after President Woodrow Wilson declared war on Germany.

The power of the Rothschild family was evidenced on 24
Sept 2002 when a helicopter touched down on the lawn of
Waddedson Manor, their ancestral home in Buckinghamshire,
England. Out of the helicopter strode Warren Buffet, -
touted as the second richest man in the World but really
a lower ranking player- and Arnold Schwarzenegger (the
gropinator), at that time a candidate for the Governorship
of California. Also in attendance at this two day meeting
of the World's most powerful businessmen and financiers
hosted by Jacob Rothschild were James Wolfensohn, president
of the World Bank and Nicky Oppenheimer, chairman of De
Beers. Arnold went on to secure the governorship of one of
the biggest economies on the planet a year later. That he
was initiated into the ruling class in the Rothschilds'
English country manor suggests that the centre of
gravity of the three hundred trillion dollar cartel
is in the U.K. and Europe not the U.S.

A recent article in the London Financial Times indicates
why it is impossible to gain an accurate estimate of the
wealth of the trillionaire bankers. Discussing the sale
of Evelyn Rothschild's stake in Rothschild Continuation
Holdings, it states: ...[this] requires agreement on the
valuation of privately held assets whose value has never
been tested in a public market. Most of these assets are
held in a complex network of tax-efficient structures
around the World.

Queen Elizabeth II's shareholdings remain hidden behind
Bank of England Nominee accounts. The Guardian newspaper
reported in May 2002 ... "the reason for the wild
variations in valuations of her private wealth can be
pinned on the secrecy over her portfolio of share
investments. This is because her subjects have no way of
knowing through a public register of interests where she,
as their head of state, chooses to invest her money. Unlike
the members of the Commons and now the Lords, the Queen
does not have to annually declare her interests and as a
result her subjects cannot question her or know about
potential conflicts of interests..." In fact, the Queen
even has an extra mechanism to ensure that her investments
remain secret - a nominee company called the Bank of
England Nominees. It has been available for decades to the
entire World's current heads of state to allow them
anonymity when buying shares. Therefore, when a company
publishes a share register and the Bank of England Nominees
is listed, it is not possible to gauge whether the Queen,
President Bush or even Saddam Hussein is the true
shareholder.

By this method, the trillionaire masters of the universe
remain hidden whilst Forbes magazine poses lower ranking
billionaires like Bill Gates and Warren Buffett as the
richest men in the World. Retired management consultant
Gaylon Ross Sr, author of Who's Who of the Global Elite,
has been tipped from a private source that the combined
wealth of the Rockefeller family in 1998 was approx (US)
$11 trillion and the Rothschilds (U.S.) $100 trillion.
However something of an insider's knowledge of the hidden
wealth of the elite is contained in the article, "Will the
Dollar and America Fall Down on August 19?.." on page 1 of
the 12th July 2001 issue of Russian newspaper Pravda. The
newspaper interviewed Tatyana Koryagina, a senior research
fellow in the Institute of Macroeconomic Researches
subordinated to the Russian Ministry of Economic
Development (Minekonom) on the subject of a recent
conference concerning the fate of the U.S. economy:

Koryagina: The known history of civilization is merely the
visible part of the iceberg. There is a shadow economy,
shadow politics and also a shadow history, known to
conspirologists. There are [unseen] forces acting in the
World, unstoppable for [most powerful] countries and even
continents.

Ashley Mote (EU): "Mr President, I wish to draw your
attention to the Global Security Fund, set up in the early
1990s under the auspices of Jacob Rothschild. This is a
Brussels-based fund and it is no ordinary fund: it does not
trade, it is not listed and it has a totally different
purpose. It is being used for geopolitical engineering
purposes, apparently under the guidance of the intelligence
services." "I have previously asked about the alleged
involvement of the European Union's own intelligence
resources in the management of slush funds in offshore
accounts, and I still await a reply. To that question I now
add another: what are the European Union's connections to
the Global Security Fund and what relationship does it have
with European Union institutions? "Recently, Ashley Mote of
the European Union (EU) asked this volatile question in a
public EU meeting, a question never answered, as Mr. Mote,
merely by asking this question, was immediately scratched
from the White House Christmas card list and placed on its
top ten hit list. The Illuminati's cash cow, grazing freely
on the World wide pasture of greenbacks, isn't called
"Elsie" but instead is called the Global Security Fund, a
name actually meaning in the secret cult's language Global
Terrorist Fund. In simple terms, it's a gigantic illegal
trust fund, estimated by undercover overseas financial
investigators at 65 trillion dollars, set-up for
"Illuminati rainy days" and established when it is
desperately needed in a pinch for bribery, assassinations
and sponsoring World wide terrorist activities to divert
attention from their banking mafia. Although the fund is
cloaked in secrecy and made possible by the Western
civilization' s Federal Reserve banking system,
investigators trying to pry into the Illuminati's secret
treasure trove have uncovered some interesting facts
.
